Hi Jon,

Look into Cronuz Zen (https://www.cronusmax.com/). Its a bit pricy but they claim they can connect with low energy Bluetooth and emulate an xbox one controller which apparently apple now allows (no sure). it used to be Apple would restrict controller to one that had Apple MFi chip but they apparently dropped that to allow very popular controllers to work like the Xbox one.

Another one similar is TitanTwo with its Extension Kit. even more expensive. https://moddedzone.com/collections/titan-two-device-products

I am working on a Bluetooth version of our trackball and spinner and hopefully late summer we will have it ready. that one will also be able to emulate an Xbox One so who knows.

I hope this helps. if you happen to get one of these adapters, please do let us know how it goes....

Hello. I was wondering if there is a way to use the hand held controllers like the track ball or spinner controllers offered by iCode with a device that only takes bluetooth. Namely, the Apple Vision Pro. Apple recently came out with an arcade package that includes retro games called Retrocade. It looks really cool on the Vision Pro. However, you need to use a typical hand held controller like the PS5 controller. This makes games like Centipede and Breakout difficult to play w/o a spinner or trackball. I was wondering if a device that could make the controller send a bluetooth signal might work but those devices are limited. I could only find a device being sold in Japan (USB2BTPlus) that can make a USB HID device send out a bluetooth signal. But I'm not sure this would even work. The Vision Pro can only receive bluetooth and has no ports. Any ideas? Thanks!

Hi again!

Sound like you are saying the spinner part is working and you are only having trouble with buttons. Based on the photo you sent, here is what might be the cause.

I also assume your regular mouse also works with your mame games, including your mouse buttons?

The Problem: Your screen says Mouse+GP. This stands for 'Mouse plus Gamepad.' In this mode, the device splits the buttons up: some act like mouse clicks, and others act like joystick buttons. Since you MAME might be configured to primarily only use a mouse, your game is likely ignoring the buttons that are acting like a joystick.

Try this first: You need to switch the unit to pure Mouse Mode.

Hold down the Small Blue Button.

While holding it, tap the Black Button (on the back/side).

Keep doing this until the screen just says Mouse (without the '+GP').

Then

Press the Black Button to open the menu.

Scroll down to Mouse Buttons.

Here you can see each button on the device and what their function in. make sure your big buttons are mapped to 'Left Click' and 'Right Click", they might be set to none.

Based on your photo you sent me via email separately, here is exactly what your screen is telling you:

Mouse+GP = Mouse plus Game Controller mode - In this mode, the device acts like a mouse and gamepad at as time and splits the buttons up: some act like mouse clicks, and others act like joystick buttons.

P: 2 = Preset #2. The spinner has 10 memory slots. You are currently on slot 2. This lets you save different button layouts for different games so you don't have to remap them every time you switch games.

Left = Left Analog Stick on the Game Controller. This means the device is also sending spinner position to your computer as a Left Analog stiick on the game controller your computer sees.

D: H = Direction is Horizontal. This is perfect for the platform/paddle games you mentioned.

S: VH = Sensitivity is Very High. You barely need to touch the spinner to move.

(Missing A) = Acceleration is OFF. You don't see an 'A' on your screen right now because it is set to 0. This gives you 1:1 movement—exactly what old-school DOS MAME usually prefers!

here is a quick attempt on the diagram attached.

Let me know if this helps. In the meantime, we will also work on improving the documentation based on your feedback. Thank you for the great input.
